Official ways to get Muse

The official download hub is Meta's page at ai.meta.com/muse/download, and sign-up is at muse.ai/join. If a site that isn't Meta's is offering you a Muse installer — especially a Windows build or a "community patch" — close it. There is no official Windows client, and unofficial builds that ask for your Meta login are credential theft.

Creating your account

1. Open the app or muse.ai and choose sign up / log in.
2. Use a Meta account — create one with an email address or phone number, or continue with Facebook or Instagram.
3. Confirm you're 18 or older. Some users report a card prompt during sign-up as part of age verification — that's Meta's check, inside Meta's own flow.
4. If you see a waitlist or "not available in your country" screen, Muse hasn't rolled out where you are yet — see the countries page. A code can't skip that queue.

Your first 48 hours — the checklist

1. Redeem an invite code now — Settings → Redeem token (mobile) or Settings → General → Usage → Redeem invite code (web). Worth 1 billion bonus tokens, free, once ever. Steps: redeem guide.
2. Confirm the bonus in Settings → Usage (separate line, never expires).
3. Connect services gradually — start with one (email or calendar), watch how approvals work, then add more.
4. Find your own code — the Invite (gift) button, top right of the chat header — and share it while your friends are still inside their windows.

Sign-in problems

If app sign-in loops, sign in once at muse.ai in a browser, then try the app again. If a connector (email, calendar) stops working after sign-in, its access token has usually lapsed — reconnect it in Settings rather than re-entering any password on a third-party page.
